Thank you to everyone who entered my recent giveaway. There were lots of names in the hat and the lucky one to be drawn out was Su from Living On The Edge. Can you please let me have your address details so I can get your package in the post.
I hope you enjoy using the paper potter, it would be great if you could let us know how you get on with it as quite a few of my readers seemed curious by it and expressed an interest.
I thought I might get some jobs done on the allotment this weekend but the good weather we had last week has finally broken and we're back to rain and high winds. Ah well, it was good while it lasted.

Paper potters are great. A friend bought one for me several years ago, I try to be as environmentally friendly as I can, so for me a good choice.
ReplyDeleteHope the winner enjoys her win....well done.
I'm pleased to hear that you get on well with your paper potter. I haven't used one myself but I think it's a great idea to be invironmentally friendly in this way.
DeleteThank you so much, I've emailed you my address. I will certainly keep you all posted about the paper potter thingy :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. It will be interesting to hear how you get on with the paper potter.
DeleteI think that our weather this past week is sadly in your backyard now. We had nothing but rainy, windy weather for days and now we are finally getting a nice spot of good weather.
ReplyDeleteGlad you've got some good weather at last, I'm hoping that ours comes back before too long. Make the most of it while it lasts.
DeleteWell done to Su. It was freezing today wasn't it. I had football to watch, and made the mistake of thinking it would be warm. Oh how wrong I was.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't very warm, was it? It's a little brighter here today but still quite nippy.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Su, I am also interested in the paper potter? X
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to hear how Su gets on with it.
DeleteWe've certainly had some lovely weather which has given us a good opportunity to get a lot done in the garden. Enjoy your day today whatever you're doing, Jo.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a bonus having such lovely weather early on in the season, I'm a little further on than I usually am at this time of year because of it.
DeleteCongrats on your win Sue, it was rainy & windy yesterday morning but was lovely for the rest of the day. Hope the weather changes back for you & you spend a bit of time at the plot x
ReplyDeleteIt's a nicer day today but still quite cold. I don't mind so long as the wind drops and it stays dry.
DeleteWe have got snow this morning! I have been using a paper potter for years they are great. The are a little fiddly to get right at first but once you got it sussed it's really easy to use. I tend to just pot seedlings straight into the ground in the pot, which stops any root damage.
ReplyDeleteWow, I thought we'd seen an end to the snow. That's one thing about growing plants in paper pots, they won't suffer any root damage when planted out. I think I might have to invest in one for myself so that I can try it out.
DeleteMany congratulations to Su. I hope that the weather has perked up again for you to be able to get to the lottie Jo. I'm looking out at heavy rain at the moment :(
ReplyDeleteIt was quite bright this morning but it's turned dull now so I don't suppose it'll be long until that heavy rain makes its way across the Pennines.
DeleteI am well and truly fed up of all this wind.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I'm sure it gets windier each year. It's raining again here too.
DeleteWell done Su. It was cool. wet and windy here yesterday but today it's sunny, and the forecast is looking good. Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteI'm glad someone's getting some sunshine, it's sorely missing from Yorkshire.
DeleteOh...congrats to Su, a really marvelous win! Yes....aint the weather awful???? It's been wind and rain here too.xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely day again today after an awful weekend. I don't think it can make up its mind what to do from one day to the next.
