Six Year Anniversary Giveaway Winner

Thank you to everyone who entered my recent giveaway. There were lots of names in the hat and the lucky one to be drawn out was Su from Living On The Edge. Can you please let me have your address details so I can get your package in the post.

I hope you enjoy using the paper potter, it would be great if you could let us know how you get on with it as quite a few of my readers seemed curious by it and expressed an interest.

I thought I might get some jobs done on the allotment this weekend but the good weather we had last week has finally broken and we're back to rain and high winds. Ah well, it was good while it lasted.

  1. Paper potters are great. A friend bought one for me several years ago, I try to be as environmentally friendly as I can, so for me a good choice.

Hope the winner enjoys her win....well done.

  3. I think that our weather this past week is sadly in your backyard now. We had nothing but rainy, windy weather for days and now we are finally getting a nice spot of good weather.

  4. Well done to Su. It was freezing today wasn't it. I had football to watch, and made the mistake of thinking it would be warm. Oh how wrong I was.

    1. It wasn't very warm, was it? It's a little brighter here today but still quite nippy.

    1. It's been a bonus having such lovely weather early on in the season, I'm a little further on than I usually am at this time of year because of it.

    1. It's a nicer day today but still quite cold. I don't mind so long as the wind drops and it stays dry.

  9. We have got snow this morning! I have been using a paper potter for years they are great. The are a little fiddly to get right at first but once you got it sussed it's really easy to use. I tend to just pot seedlings straight into the ground in the pot, which stops any root damage.

    1. Wow, I thought we'd seen an end to the snow. That's one thing about growing plants in paper pots, they won't suffer any root damage when planted out. I think I might have to invest in one for myself so that I can try it out.

    1. It was quite bright this morning but it's turned dull now so I don't suppose it'll be long until that heavy rain makes its way across the Pennines.
