A Little Off Topic

I do try to keep the posts on this blog to gardening, after all, I have my Through The Keyhole blog for anything else I want to blog about, but I didn't think you'd mind me making this post.

Since suffering from Cancer twelve years ago, I'm a firm believer in positive thinking, so I want to ask you all to send some thoughts for Archie. He's unwell at the moment, so I took him to the vets yesterday. We've got to wait until next week to see if the tablets he's taking at the moment do anything for his condition, but if not, further investigations will need to be made. I've been told that it could be a tumour, so as you can imagine, this news has knocked the whole family for six.

He's due back at the vets at the beginning of next week so I should know more then, but in the meantime, all your positive thoughts for his speedy recovery would be very welcome.

  3. Sending lots of positive thoughts for Archie, Jo. Fingers crossed that it turns out to be something less serious, but what a shock that there is that possibility.
We sadly lost our last dog Taffy when he was 13, he had a tumour and it all happened so quickly it was heart breaking as there was nothing they could do at that stage.
So my thoughts and prayers will be for Archie and you and your family and lets hope for a positive outcome like yours was.
    Big Hugs
    Gill xx

  4. Thinking of you Jo. People without pets don't realise how upsetting it is when they get ill, but they are very much part of the family. Finger's crossed. xx

  6. I have some empathy with your situation - if only because our neighbour's cat is also called Archie, and although he doesn't belong to us, we love him! Let's hope your Archie's condition is not too serious.

  11. Oh Jo, I really hope Archie's tablets start working for him. there is nothing worse than having someone in your family ill, except when they are ill with the 'unknown'. And it doesn't matter how many legs they have or if they have none at all they are still a family member who is dearly loved. xx

  12. Sending positive thoughts for Archie. Our much-loved pets are our family members and it is so awful when they are ill. I know he'll be getting lots of cuddles this weekend. I hope you manage to get some sleep, that Archie is not in pain and that the tablets kick-in very quickly. x

  13. Fingers crossed everything will be okay. I hate to see any animals under the weather you don't know what to do for them for the best - it makes you feel so helpless when they can't tell you what's wrong.
