My daughter did a good job of drawing a name from the cup, and I am pleased to announce that the winner is Flighty. Please let me know your address so that I can get the book posted to you. You can find my email address on my sidebar.
A few people mentioned that it would be a good idea for the winner to continue passing the book on to interested bloggers, and Flighty indicated that he would be happy to do this, so watch out on his blog for a future giveaway. You can find his blog here, Flighty's Plot.
It's a lovely day here today, after torrential rain yesterday, so I'm hoping to spend some time at the allotment.
Oh, I'd forgotten about your giveaway, congratulations to the winner. I've put in a reservation for it from the library, look forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteWas a light but continuous rainy day here yesterday, although I was inside at my Spinning Guild meeting anyway. Sunny today so going to the allotment this afterneen here too.

Congrats to Flighty..hope you get done today what you planned to.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have gone to a nicer person - well done Flighty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice surprise, and as you say once I've read it I'll pass it on in the same way!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Flighty. xx
Congratulations to Flighty on a wonderful giveaway Jo and what a great idea to continue passing the book on.
ReplyDeleteWe had a lovely spring day and spent a good deal of it in the garden - so very welcome after being cooped up in my study busy working for the best part of a week and weekend! Back to relative normality now I think ...

Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThis is great idea of passing on the books.
It's nice to see someone using their local library, Dawn. Whenever I mention that I've been to the library, there are so many people who tell me that they haven't been for years. Hope you managed to get to the allotment yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI got quite a bit done on the allotment yesterday, Tanya. I really enjoyed myself.
Keep a look out on Flighty's blog, Carrie, as he will be passing it on again after it's been read.
You're welcome, Flighty. The book will be posted today so you should receive it this week, postal system allowing.
Glad to hear that you're coming to the end of your busy period, Jeanne. There's nothing worse than being stuck indoors working when the weather has brightened up.
I'm really pleased that I've managed to recycle the book in this way, Vrtlarica. It's nice to know that another gardener will get some pleasure from it.
Congratulations to Flighty. I heard Terry Walton speak at the Malvern Show last September - he had us in stitches so Flighty is in for a treat :)
ReplyDeleteThe book does contain some amusing anecdotes, Anna. I hope Flighty enjoys it as much as I did.
